"We Are Out" Proclaimed as MoCo Pride Center Officially Launches

ROCKVILLE, MD: The Board of Directors for the MoCo Pride Center officially launched the organization with amazing fanfare last night at a launch part on Wednesday, October 25 at Bar Louie in Rockville. Members of the community and county officials all gathered for an evening of unity and celebration. The event was months in the making and was featured in Metro Weekly before the event to help building awareness.

The evening kicked off with a silent auction of donated items that will help in the continued funding efforts of the Center. The attendees were then greeted by the Board of Director Co-Chairs who introduced several other county officials who talked about the importance of the success of MoCo's very own Pride Center. "It’ll act as a center where we pull everything together, and it can be a resource center depending on what the needs are,” said MoCo Pride, Co-Chair, Jill McCrory.

The Board of Directors thanks everyone who came in support, bid on silent auction items, and donated to help the Center get started.
