The MoCo Pride Center Board of Directors announced today it is has approved money to match a $250 grant provided by Capital Pride Alliance to the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) of Paint Branch High School in Montgomery County, Maryland. The grant and matching funds will provide the ability for the GSA to participate in Capital Pride on June 8, 2019 for the first time.

"This is the first time the GSA of Paint Branch HS was awarded the grant," said Ezra Towne, Chairperson of the Board of Directors for MoCo Pride Center, "and to celebrate, the MoCo Pride Center is excited to match that grant so the kids can have an even greater experience participating in Pride." The students plan to march in the parade with a banner and have asked students from other GSA's in Montgomery County to join them.

DC's Capital Pride Parade takes place on June 8, 2019 in Dupont & Logan Circles from 4:30-8:00 pm if you would like to watch the parade and support these students showing their pride. More Info
